ソチ冬季五輪のスノーボード男子ハーフパイプ（１１日）で、１５歳の平野歩夢が五輪３連覇を狙うショーン・ホワイト（米国）に挑戦する。
ホワイトはコースが危険であるとして、８日に決勝が行われたスロープスタイルを欠場。暖かい気候によりコース上がぬかるんだ影響で、１０日の公式練習は短縮された。この日は調子が上がらなかったというホワイトだが、「明日はいい日にしたい」と本番に向けて意気込んだ。
平野のほか、日本からは平岡卓、青野令、子出藤歩夢が出場する。
