アメリカ・大リーグのイチロー外野手（ヤンキース）が4月8日（日本時間9日未明）、オリオールズ戦の9回に途中出場し、日本とアメリカで合計3017試合出場を達成した。野村克也氏の持つ日本プロ野球の最多記録に並んだ。

アメリカ・大リーグのイチロー外野手（ヤンキース）が4月8日（日本時間9日未明）、オリオールズ戦の9回に途中出場し、日本とアメリカで合計3017試合出場を達成した。野村克也氏の持つ日本プロ野球の最多記録に並んだ。47NEWSが以下のように報じている。

九回に中堅守備に就き、打席は二ゴロだった。プロ２３年目のイチローはプロ野球のオリックスで９５１試合、大リーグのマリナーズとヤンキースで２０６６試合に出場した。

日本で3000試合以上に出場しているのは野村のみ。大リーグでは、3562試合に出場したピート・ローズなど8人が達成している。しかし、当人のイチローは「だから、という感じ」と淡々とした様子だったと、スポニチが伝えている。
