北朝鮮の金正恩(キム・ジョンウン)朝鮮労働党委員長の異母兄・金正男(ジョンナム)氏が2月13日午前、マレーシアで殺害されたと、複数の韓国メディアが14日に報じた。詳しい経緯はわかっていない。

消息筋は、韓国KBSテレビに対し、「金正男氏がマレーシアで女2人に殺害されたようだ」と話した。女2人は、クアラルンプールの空港で正男氏を殺害後、タクシーで逃走したとしている。

正男氏は、金正日(ジョンイル)総書記の長男だが、改革開放志向を持つとされ、金委員長との確執も伝えられていた。

韓国のケーブルテレビ「TV朝鮮」など韓国メディアは、正男氏が、マレーシアのクアラルンプール空港で2人の女によって毒針を刺されて死亡したと伝えた。正男氏殺害のニュースは現地公館を通じて青瓦台(大統領府)国家安全保障会議(NSC)に即座に報告され、黄教安(ファン・ギョアン)大統領権限代行にも報告されたという

コトバンクによると、正男氏は、金正日・朝鮮労働党総書記と2番目の妻・成蕙琳の長男。幼少期に母とともにモスクワで生活するが、のちに北朝鮮に戻る。一時は金総書記の後継者候補と目されたが、2010年9月に44年ぶりに開かれた朝鮮労働党代表者会で異母弟の金正恩が党中央委員と新設ポストの党中央軍事委員会副委員長に選出され、後継者候補からはずれた。

2001年5月に息子と2人の女性を同行し、偽造パスポートで成田空港から日本に入国しようとしたが、逮捕され強制退去処分を受けた

正男氏は、メディアとのインタビューで、金正恩朝鮮労働党委員長を「独裁者」と呼ぶなど北朝鮮の現体制に批判的な姿勢を示していた朝鮮日報は「正恩氏が自身の偶像化の障害となる兄を暗殺した可能性があるとの指摘も出ている」と伝えた。
