リビアのMohamed Dayri外相は23日、ロイターとのインタビューで、同国は分裂した政府をまとめ、イスラム過激派と戦う上での援助を得なければ、次のシリアになりかねないとの見解を表明した。

リビアのMohamed Dayri外相は23日、ロイターとのインタビューで、同国は分裂した政府をまとめ、イスラム過激派と戦う上での援助を得なければ、次のシリアになりかねないとの見解を表明した。

外相は「今正しいことを行わないと2年間のうちに─そうでないことを願うが─国際社会の対応が十分でないために2014年にシリアで起きたことが繰り返される可能性がある」とした。

国際的に認められたリビア政府の外相である同相は、石油施設を攻撃している勢力にはイスラム過激派組織「アンサール・アル・シャリーア」の一部が含まれているとの政府の主張を繰り返した。米国はアンサール・アル・シャリーアをテロ組織に指定し、2012年9月にリビアのベンガジで起きた米国大使館襲撃事件に関与したとして非難している。

リビアが米オバマ大統領の優先事項リストの上位にないことを懸念しているかとの質問には、外相は「心配だ」と答えた。

外相によると「リビアにおける国際的なテロの脅威の高まりと、それと戦う必要性について国際社会の関心を引き付けるため」に、19日にニューヨークの国連での会議で発言し、ワシントンでは高官らと面会したという。

またサニ政権は「深刻な財政逼迫」に直面しているとして、国際的な金融支援を求める可能性を示唆。22日夜に世界銀行および国際通貨基金(IMF)と協議を行ったとした。

一方、国連特使のベルナルディーノ・レオン氏は23日、国連安全保障理事会に対し、リビアの対立する統治勢力は来年初めに和平協議を開催することで基本的に合意したと報告した。

外相は、政府は和平協議に引き続き真剣に取り組むとした上で「言うまでもなくその過程は困難だろう」とした。
