2月19日、女子フィギュアのユリア・リプニツカヤ（ロシア）が浅田真央と同じ組で公式練習を行った。フィギュア女子個人は日本時間20日未明にショートプログラム、21日未明にフリーの演技が行われる。

2月19日、女子フィギュアのユリア・リプニツカヤ（ロシア）が浅田真央と同じ組で公式練習を行った。フィギュア女子個人は日本時間20日未明にショートプログラム、21日未明にフリープログラムの演技が行われる。

ロシアの天才少女リプニツカヤは、浅田と同組で汗を流した。３回転－３回転など４０分間の練習でジャンプ３３回を跳んで３２回成功。失敗は４本目に跳んだダブルアクセル（２回転半ジャンプ）だけだった。

リプニツカヤは、過熱するメディアの取材に警戒感を示しているという。

１５歳のクールな妖精が好調ぶりを見せつけた。団体でロシアの金メダル獲得に貢献したユリア・リプニツカヤ（１５）は、公式練習で３回転ルッツ―３回転トーループや３連続ジャンプなどコンビネーションに次々に成功。浅田と同組で汗を流し、ジャンプのミスはほとんどなかった。練習終了後、報道陣に呼びかけられても「ニエット！（英語のＮＯ）」と取材に応じず、集中力を高めていた。
