田中が痛みを訴えたのは、8日のインディアンス戦の後。ジラルディ監督は「痛みがあるようだが、深刻なけがではないと思う」と述べている。この日、田中は6回2/3を投げて5失点。4敗目を喫したが、球の走りは良かったと自身を評価しており、「全てが悪い訳ではないので、悲観的になり過ぎずにまた次に向けて調整していきます」とツイートしていた。
