北朝鮮が5回目の核実験か 安倍首相「断じて許容できない」

北朝鮮の北東部で9日午前、人工的な揺れが観測され、韓国軍は北朝鮮が5回目の核実験を行った可能性があるとして分析を進めている。

韓国軍合同参謀本部と韓国気象庁は9月9日、北朝鮮北東部の咸鏡北道・吉州(ハムギョンブクトキルジュ)郡付近で同日午前9時半ごろ、マグニチュード(M)5の人工地震を感知したと明らかにした。吉州郡の豊渓里(プンゲリ)には北朝鮮の核実験場があり、韓国軍は北朝鮮が5回目の核実験を行った可能性があるとして分析を進めていると、時事ドットコムなどが伝えた。

核実験と確認されれば、今年1月6日に「水爆」と主張する実験を実施して以来。核実験により核爆弾の小型化が一層進めば、弾頭に核を搭載した「核ミサイル」の脅威が現実化しかねない。朝鮮半島情勢は再び緊迫し、国際社会の反発が強まるのは必至だ。日米韓はさらなる圧力強化を図る見通しで、中国の対応が焦点になりそうだ。

北朝鮮には、米次期政権をにらみ、「核保有国」の地位を既成事実化させるとともに、9日の建国68周年に合わせ、国威発揚を図る狙いもあるとみられる。

安倍晋三首相は同日、記者団に対し「北朝鮮が核実験を強行した可能性がある。強行したのであれば断じて許容できない。強く抗議しなければならない」と話した

菅義偉官房長官は同日、緊急の記者会見を開き「自然地震ではない可能性がある地震波を観測した。過去の事例なども踏まえると、核実験による発生の可能性がある」と述べた

日本政府は首相官邸で、NSC(国家安全保障会議の閣僚会合)を開いて、情報の分析を行うとともに、今後の対応などについて協議する
