北朝鮮は7月19日朝、日本海に向けて弾道ミサイル計3発を発射した。韓国軍合同参謀本部が明らかにした。朝日新聞デジタルなどが報じた。

毎日新聞では、北朝鮮がミサイル3発を発射したのは、平壌近郊の黄海北道(ファンヘプクド)黄州(ファンジュ)付近だったと、米韓両軍の発表を報じた。そのうち2発は北東に約500〜600キロ飛行し、日本海に落下。残る1発は調査中という。米戦略軍は1、2発目が短距離弾道ミサイル「スカッド」で、3発目は中距離弾道ミサイル「ノドン」と見ている。

韓国軍合同参謀本部は今回のミサイルの飛行距離について、「釜山を含め、韓国全域を目標として打撃できる十分な距離」としているという。

アメリカと韓国は、北朝鮮の弾道ミサイルを迎撃するためのミサイルシステム「THAAD(サード)」の在韓米軍への配備を決めたばかり。北朝鮮のミサイル発射は、それへの対抗措置の可能性がある。
