マンハッタンで9月17日に起きた爆発で、ニューヨーク・タイムズなどは、連邦捜査局(FBI)が事件に関連して5人を拘束したと報じた。

アメリカ・ニューヨーク市中心部のマンハッタンで9月17日に起きた爆発で、ニューヨーク・タイムズなどは、連邦捜査局(FBI)が事件に関連して5人を拘束したと報じた。尋問のためだという。5人はそのほとんどが家族で、空港に向かう途中に拘束された。

爆発では少なくとも29人が負傷。高度な専門知識がなくても作ることができる、手製の爆発物が使われたと見られている。現場付近の防犯カメラの映像には、大きなかばんを引きずる男が捉えられていた。爆発現場とは別の場所でも不審物が見つかったが、この場所の防犯カメラにも、かばんの男とさらに2人の男が映っていた
