【オーランド銃乱射事件】「犠牲者のために踊ろう」ロンドンの追悼集会が熱い(動画)

ダンスを通した結束って素晴らしい。

アメリカ・フロリダ州オーランドのナイトクラブで6月12日に発生した銃乱射事件で、49人の犠牲者の死を悼むために13日、イギリスで追悼集会が開かれ、多くの人がロンドンの歓楽街地区ソーホーに集まった。

ロイターによると、バーは黙祷の時間のために午後6時で営業を終了し、追悼集会では拍手と喝采で溢れ、色とりどりの風船が空に飛ばされた。

追悼集会では、自然発生的に激しいヴォーグダンスバトルが始まり、ソーホーのオールド・コンプトン・ストリートは一時ダンスフロアと化した。

ダンスニュースメディア「デュース」によると、ヴォーグ(ヴォーギング)は1960年代にアメリカ都市部の黒人、ラテン系の同性愛者たちの間で生まれたダンスのこと。80年代にゲイクラブで広まり、90年にマドンナの曲『ヴォーグ』のミュージック・ビデオで世に知られるようになった。

ヴォーグダンスは、ゲイグラブのカルチャーを象徴するものであり、オーランド銃乱射事件の犠牲者を追悼するにふさわしいダンスと言える。

ブロードリーU.K.の編集者のZing Tsjeng氏は、この光景を「ダンスを通した結束」と話した。

この追悼集会には、労働党党首のジェレミー・コービン、ロンドン市長のサディク・カーン、俳優のアンドリュー・ガーフィールドの姿もあった。

オーランドのナイトクラブで起きた銃乱射事件はアメリカ史上で最も悲惨な銃撃事件となった。当局は犯人のオマル・マティーン容疑者の動機と、なぜLGBTのコミュニティをターゲットにし、自称IS武装集団への忠誠を誓ったかの捜査を続けている。
