パナソニックは社内ルールを変更し、4月から同性カップルを結婚に相当する関係と認めて慶弔休暇や福利厚生の対象とする。会社の行動指針を見直し、「LGBT」(性的少数者)を差別しない姿勢を明確化するという。毎日新聞などが2月18日に伝えた。

社内から要望があったほか、同社が国際オリンピック委員会(IOC)の最高位スポンサーで、五輪憲章が「性的指向による差別禁止」を掲げていることも後押しした。国内の企業では先進的な取り組みで、他企業に広がる可能性がある。

現在、具体的な見直し作業を進めており、就業規則上の「結婚」や「配偶者」の定義変更や、同性パートナーを持つ社員を慶弔休暇など福利厚生の対象とすることを検討している。国内外のグループ企業の社員約25万人を対象にした行動指針には「性的指向や性別の認識で差別しない」との表記を加える方針だ。昨夏、社員から「同性婚を考えている」との申し出を受け、社内ルールの見直しに着手した。

海外も含めた連結従業員約25万人の大企業の動きは、今後他社にも広がる可能性がある。ただ、同性カップルにパートナーとしての証明書を発行している自治体は東京都渋谷区や世田谷区など一部にとどまっており、婚姻関係の認定方法は検討中だという。

LGBTへの対応を進める企業は増えている。日本IBMは2016年1月は「同性パートナー登録制度」を新設、LGBTのカップルが人事部に登録することで、結婚祝い金をもらえるなど事実婚を含む男女の既婚者と同じ待遇を受けられるようになった
