フランスの風刺新聞「シャルリー・エブド」の事務所を襲撃し、記者ら12人が殺害された事件で、襲撃に加担した後に逃走し、パリ郊外の印刷工場に人質を取って立てこもっていた2人の男、サイド・クアシ(34)、シェリフ・クアシ(32)の両容疑者が1月9日、警察の襲撃で殺害された。AFP通信が伝えた。フランスを震撼させた襲撃事件は、同時発生の人質事件として急展開した。

警察は、パリのシャルル・ド・ゴール空港に近いダンマルタン・アン・ゴエルという町で、クアシ兄弟が9日朝から立てこもっていた印刷工場に突入した。

また、パリでユダヤ教の戒律に基づく食材などを販売するスーパーマーケットを、別の容疑者が襲撃し、少なくとも5人の人質を取って立てこもっていたが、警察はここにも突入し、容疑者は銃撃戦の末に死亡した。パリの検察官は、容疑者がスーパーに立てこもった際、人質4人を殺害していたと明らかにした

AP通信によると、スーパーマーケット襲撃の容疑者は、「もし警察がクアシ兄弟を襲ったら、人質に危害を加える」と脅迫していたという。

警察はスーパー襲撃容疑者の写真を公開した。アメディ・クリバリという男と、共犯者とみられるアイェット・ブムディエンヌという女の両容疑者。FBIによると、フランスの警察はブムディエンヌ容疑者の行方を追っているが、居場所は分かっていない

クリバリ容疑者は8日にパリ郊外で女性警察官を殺害した疑いも持たれている。

■2事件の容疑者、同じイスラム過激派組織か

警察関係者がAP通信に語ったところによると、クリバリ容疑者はクアシ兄弟と事前に面識があったとみられる。ロイター通信によると、3人は同じイスラム過激派組織に所属していたとみられる。この組織は約10年前にイラクに戦闘員を派遣していた。フランスの週刊誌「ロブ」は、クリバリ容疑者とシェリフ・クアシ容疑者が2005年から06年にかけて、フルーリ・メロジの刑務所に収監されていたときに知り合ったと報じている。

クリバリ容疑者は2010年にフランスで、別のイスラム過激派のテロ容疑者を刑務所から救出しようとした計画に加わった疑いで有罪判決を受けていた。BBCによれば、このときにクアシ兄弟も名前が浮上したが、嫌疑不十分で訴追されなかったという。

フランスの新聞「ル・モンド」は、クアシ兄弟が印刷工場で1人の人質を取ったと報じた。イギリスの新聞ガーディアンは、人質が銃撃戦の最中に脱出したと報じたが、いずれも確認できる情報はない。

警察は9日の間、両容疑者との接触を試みていた。AP通信によると、クアシ兄弟が交渉仲介人に対し「殉教者として死にたい」と伝えていたという。

政府関係者はロイター通信に対し、クアシ兄弟は銃撃戦の最中に建物の外で殺害されたと話した。

■容疑者、テレビのインタビューで「アルカイダ」「イスラム国」名乗る

フランスのテレビ局「BFMTV」は9日、自身がシェリフ・クアシ容疑者とクリバリ容疑者と主張する人物のインタビューを放送した。シェリフ・クアシ容疑者だと名乗る人物は、自身がイエメンのイスラム過激派組織「アルカイダ」から派遣されたと主張し「我々は預言者の護衛だ」と話した。クリバリ容疑者だと名乗る人物も、人質事件が発生した後の9日午後にBFMTVに登場し、自身が「イスラム国」のメンバーであり、クアシ兄弟と行動を共にしていると話した。
