世論調査機関の韓国ギャラップが11月4日に発表した調査結果によると、支持率は5%で、前週(17%)から12ポイント下落。不支持は89%にのぼった。

同社によると、1988年以降に就任した大統領で最も低かったのは金泳三大統領(1993-98年)で、任期最終年の1997年に国際通貨基金(IMF)に支援を要請した金融危機を受けて、6%を記録した。知人女性の国政介入や財団私物化などの疑惑「崔順実ゲート」に揺れる朴槿恵大統領は、これを下回ったことになる。

地域別にみると、首都ソウルの支持率が2%。朴大統領の地盤だった北東部の大邱・慶尚北道は10%で比較的高かったが、野党の強い南西部の全羅南道では0%だった。年齢別では、20・30代の支持率が1%にとどまった。父親の朴正熙大統領の時代に郷愁を抱く高年齢層の支持が厚く「コンクリート支持層」と呼ばれてきたが、60代以上の支持率も13%だった。
