政府会計の粉飾に関わったとされるブラジルのルセフ大統領について、同国の上院本会議(定員81)は12日、ルセフ氏の責任を問う弾劾(だんがい)裁判の開始を、賛成55票(反対22票)の賛成多数で決めた。

五輪前に…ブラジル大統領職務停止へ 弾劾巡り上院審議

ブラジル上院は11日、政府会計の粉飾に関わったとされるルセフ大統領に対する弾劾(だんがい)裁判開始の是非をめぐり、審議を始めた。採決では過半数が賛成すると見られ、ルセフ氏は最大180日間の職務停止に追い込まれる見通しだ。8月開幕のリオデジャネイロ五輪を前に、政治の混乱は深まるばかりだ。

上院では、議員一人ひとりが意見表明を続けているが、地元メディアによると過半数が事前に弾劾裁判への賛成を表明しており、法律が定める可決条件を満たすと見られている。可決されれば、結果が議会側から正式に伝達された時点で職務停止となり、テメル副大統領が大統領の職務を代行することになる。

その後、連邦最高裁長官を裁判長とする弾劾法廷が上院に設置され、全議席の3分の2(54議席)以上が賛成すればルセフ氏は罷免(ひめん)され、そうでない場合は大統領に復職できる。

政府会計の粉飾に関わったとされるブラジルのルセフ大統領について、同国の上院本会議(定員81)は12日、ルセフ氏の責任を問う弾劾(だんがい)裁判の開始を、賛成55票(反対22票)の賛成多数で決めた。ルセフ氏は判決言い渡しまで最大180日間の職務停止処分となり、野党所属のテメル副大統領が大統領の職務を代行する。弾劾裁判で有罪判決が出ればルセフ氏は罷免(ひめん)され、テメル氏が後任に就く。

8月に控える南米初のリオデジャネイロ五輪の開幕時は、テメル氏が大統領代行を務めている可能性が高い。大統領への弾劾裁判が続く中での五輪という異常事態となりそうだ。(ブラジリア=田村剛)
