片山さつき参議院議員は民主党の事業仕分けで御嶽山の常時監視がなくなったとするコメントをTwitterに投稿していたが、「事実誤認だった」として陳謝した。

自民党の片山さつき参議院議員が9月28日、民主党政権時の事業仕分けで御嶽山の常時監視がなくなったとするコメントをTwitterに投稿していたことを受け、民主党の海江田万里代表は9月30日、事実無根だとして抗議する考えを示した。

片山氏が28日に投稿したのは次のようなツイートだった。

これに対し、海江田氏は、常時監視の対象から御嶽山が外されたことはないと反論。10月1日に片山氏に抗議するとしている。テレ朝newsなどが報じた。

民主党・海江田代表:「全く事実無根です。御嶽山が監視対象から外れた事実はありません」(中略)

民主党は1日、片山氏に抗議し、謝罪がなければ片山氏が委員長を務める参議院の外交防衛委員会の審議に応じない構えです。一方の自民党側は、片山氏に委員会の冒頭で謝罪させて矛(ほこ)を収めさせたい考えです。

片山氏は「私が言ったわけではない。外交防衛委員長とは関係ない」と反論していた。

民主党は10月1日、「事実無根だ」として片山氏に投稿の撤回と謝罪を求めた。

これに対し、民主党は「全く根拠を欠いた事実誤認に基づくものだ」などと強く反発し、1日、榛葉参議院国会対策委員長が自民党の吉田参議院国会対策委員長に対し、「何ら事実関係を確認せず、根拠のない投稿で公党を一方的に批判する行為は不見識極まりない」として、投稿の撤回と謝罪を求める抗議文を手渡しました。

これを受けて、自民党は幹部が片山氏を呼んで事情を聞くとともに口頭で注意しました。
