韓国・朴槿恵大統領の弾劾訴追案が可決された翌日の12月10日、大統領の即時退陣を求める7回目のろうそく集会が、首都・ソウルを始め全国各地で開かれ、朴大統領の即時退陣を求めてろうそくを灯した。

ソウル中心部の光化門広場には、寒さにもかかわらず、午後7時時点で主催者発表で約60万人(累積集計)、警察発表で約12万人(瞬間推計)が集まった。

約1500の市民団体や労働組合などでつくる主催の「朴槿恵政権退陣 非常国民行動」(退陣行動)は午後6時から「朴槿恵政権を終わらせる日」と題した集会を開いた。主催団体の中心的存在「参与連帯」のチョン・カンジャ共同代表は「多くの人は、私たちが祝杯を挙げるのはまだ早いと、これからが始まりだと言っています。広場に集まり、黄教安・大統領職務代行と内閣に共同責任を問い、朴大統領の疑惑について国会の国政調査と特別検事の捜査を見守らなければなりません」と強調した。

梨花女子大の総学生会長を務めるウ・ジスさんは「朴大統領は今までのように官邸で贅沢な暮らしをしながらテレビでろうそく集会を見るのでなく、ここに来てろうそくの審判を受けるべきだ。自分の足で(政権の座から)降りるまで、ろうそくは消えない」と訴えた。

午後4時からは光化門広場を出発して、3ルートで青瓦台(大統領府)から100m手前のところまでデモ行進した。
