世界平和に必要なものは、体操競技を増やすことかもしれない。
北朝鮮のホン・ウンジョンと韓国のイ・ウンジュが、リオオリンピックの体操競技の練習中、この瞬く間に拡散した自撮りを見てほしい。
これで二国間の緊張がなくなることは恐らくないだろうが、それでも人々を一つにするスポーツの力がよくわかる。
南北朝鮮の体操選手が一緒に自撮り。これこそが我々がオリンピックを開催する理由なのだ。
勝敗に関しては、2人はのちに日曜日の同じセッションで競い合い言葉を交わした。2008年の北京オリンピックで金メダルを獲得したホン・ウンジョンは予選を通過したが、イウンジュは敗退した。
