トヨタ自動車は1月13日、アメリカのデトロイトで開かれた北米国際自動車ショーで、高級スポーツカーの試作車「FT-1」を発表した。時事ドットコムが以下のように伝えている。

競技専用に開発されるレーシングカーのデザインを随所に採用。高い走行性能を想定した「スーパーカー」で、将来の顧客基盤となる若者へのアピールを図る。FT―1の商品化は未定。
