ロシア、ウクライナ、仏、独の４カ国外相は２日、ウクライナ情勢をめぐり会談し、ロシアとウクライナは、新たな停戦合意を目指し、５日までに親ロシア分離派を交えた３者協議を開くことで一致した。
ドイツのシュタインマイヤー外相は会談後「多面的停戦に向けた明確なコミットメントだ」と述べた。
ロシアのラブロフ外相は共同記者会見で、安定的かつ長期的な停戦に向けて取り組むことで合意したとした上で「向こう数日中の開催が期待される、枠組み（コンタクト・グループ）会合を通じて、そのことが早急に達成され、かつすべての関係者が納得する停戦の諸条件で合意するよう提案する」と述べた。
４カ国外相の合意文書では、ウクライナ、ロシア、親ロシア分離派は、欧州安全保障協力機構（ＯＳＣＥ）による仲裁を交え、「無条件かつ相互合意に基づく持続的停戦という目標を踏まえ、遅くとも５日までに」協議を行うべきとした。
