クリントン夫妻の一人娘、財団の資金を結婚式費用に? ウィキリークスが暴露

クリントン元大統領の側近、ダグ・バンド氏が2012年に書いたメールで、クリントン夫妻の一人娘のチェルシーさんが、「クリントン財団の資金を彼女の結婚式と生活資金として10年間使っていた」とする内容を、内部告発サイトウィキリークスが11月6日、公表した。

当該のメールは、バンド氏からヒラリー氏の選対本部長ジョン・ポデスタ氏にあてられたもので、他に2人に対して送られたとされている。バンド氏は1990年代からクリントン元大統領の私的なアシスタントを務めている。

チェルシーさんは、2010年、ゴールドマン・サックスに勤務するマーク・メツビンスキー氏と豪華な結婚式を挙げた。デイリー・メールによると、チェルシーさんの結婚式にかかった費用は300万ドル(約3億1000万円)と見積もられている。

ウィキリークスはアメリカ大統領選挙を前に、民主党候補ヒラリー氏の選対本部長、ポデスタ氏が過去に送受信したとされるメールの内容などを、投票日まで断続的に公表し続けている

一方、アメリカ政府の当局者は、ロシアがハッキングした民主党員のメールをウィキリークスに提供し、それを利用して大統領選挙を動揺させようとしているのは明らかだと非難している。このメールの真偽は明らかになっていない。

ウィキリークスの創設者で編集長のジュリアン・アサンジ氏は、共和党の大統領指名候補のドナルド・トランプ氏とクリントン氏のどちらかを選択するのは、"コレラと淋病" のどちらが好きかと訊ねるようなものだ、と述べている
