中国の習近平国家主席は3日、抗日戦争勝利70年の記念式典で、中国は常に平和的発展の道を歩んでいくと表明するとともに、軍の規模を30万人相当縮小する方針を示した。

[北京 3日 ロイター] - 中国の習近平国家主席は3日、抗日戦争勝利70年の記念式典で、中国は常に平和的発展の道を歩んでいくと表明するとともに、軍の規模を30万人相当縮小する方針を示した。

現在、中国軍の規模は約230万人。国家主席は規模縮小の期限は示さなかった。

国家主席は演説で、歴史の繰り返しを許さないと表明。世界はまだ平和でなく、中国は断固として平和を守る、と語った。

演説後、軍事パレードが開始。中国軍を中心にロシアなどの外国部隊を含む1万2000人以上の兵士が大通りを行進し、複数の大陸間弾道ミサイルも公開された。

式典には、ロシアのプーチン大統領やスーダンのバシル大統領のほか、中国とつながりの深い複数の国家の首脳が参加。外交筋によると、欧米の首脳は式典への招待を辞退した。

習国家主席にとって今回のパレードは、中国株の急落や景気減速、約160人の死者が出た天津の倉庫爆発などの国内問題から国民の気をそらすのに好都合のイベントとみられている。

中国軍事パレード、江沢民・元国家主席が健在示す

[北京 3日 ロイター] - 中国で3日開かれた抗日戦争勝利70年の軍事パレードの場に、江沢民・元国家主席が姿を見せた。江氏をめぐっては、習近平・現国家主席との政策をめぐる確執があるとのうわさが流れていたが、影響力を保持していることが示唆された。

江氏は2002年に共産党総書記、03年に国家主席からそれぞれ退いたものの、04年まで軍トップにあたる党中央軍事委員会主席の座にとどまった経緯がある。

国営テレビが映した画像では、やや弱々しく見えるが、健康そうな様子で、各国首脳らとともに天安門広場を見渡せる檀上に立っていた。隣には胡錦涛・前国家主席が並んだ。

壇の中心には習近平国家主席が立ったが、江氏と言葉を交わしたかは不明。温家宝・前首相、朱鎔基・元首相、李鵬・元首相も姿を見せた。
