iPhone 6でこんなことができるなんて 手の小さい人にとって画期的な機能はこれだ

あなたの手ではiPhone 6やiPhone 6 Plusは大きすぎて扱いづらくないだろうか? そう思っているのはあなただけではない。そしてAppleがその問題を解決する機能をiPhoneに内蔵しているのを、おそらくあなたは知らないだろう。

iPhoneを持ちながら、持ったその手だけでスクリーンの一番上に触れたい時、(手の小さい人だとこれがほぼ不可能だ)ホームボタンをダブルタップするだけで良いのだ。ここで重要なのはダブルタップだ。ダブルクリックではない。ダブルタップしたら、スクリーン全体が数センチ下がって、スクリーンの上にある部分でもタップしやすくなる。ホームスクリーンでもこの機能は適用される。

(注意:ダブルタップする時にホームボタンを強く押してはいけない。ホームボタンを軽くタップするだけでよい。押し込むとダブルクリックになってしまう)

実際にやってみるとこのようになる。

この機能は2014年から実装されている。しかし多くの人はこの機能を知らないのではと思い、今回紹介させてもらった。

友人と同僚に聞いてみたところ、熱心なiPhoneユーザーの中にもこの「簡易アクセス」機能を使ったことがない人がいるということが分かった。例えば、私はうっかりホームボタンをダブルタップしたときにスクリーンが動くことは知っていたが、どうしてそうなるのか分からなかった。今回この機能の意味が分かり、頭から離れなくなってしまった。多分あなたもそうなってしまったのではないだろうか。
