Japan Tokyo Police Precautions(21 of27)
Open Image ModalThe Beatles, that famed mop-haired quartet of musicians from Liverpool, wowed young Tokyo audiences with their beaty Mersey sound on a concert visit to the Japanese capital. So much so that authorities decided on firm steps to ensure that Beatlemania was confined to the auditoriums and not be allowed to upset the city. Hundreds of policemen were detailed for duty at strategic spots to restrain over-enthusiastic fans. Police marching from trucks lined up near the hall as they were deployed at places around the arena. Police keep an eye on a keen fan who wore a Beatles shirt and carried some of their records, in Tokyo, on July 7, 1966. (AP Photo) (credit:AP)
