イスラム原理主義組織ハマスが実効支配するパレスチナ自治区ガザでは23日も、イスラエル軍とハマスの戦闘が続いた。

イスラエル入りしたケリー米国務長官は、パレスチナ自治政府のアッバス議長、国連の潘基文事務総長、イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相と会談。「(停戦に向け)一定の前進はあったが、まだ作業が残されている」との認識を示した。

イスラエルが8日に軍事作戦を開始して以降、ガザ地区での死者は民間人を中心に687人に達しており、国連のピレイ人権高等弁務官は戦争犯罪に当たる可能性が高いとの認識を示した。同弁務官は、ガザ地区からの無差別のロケット攻撃も非難。国連人権理事会は国際調査を開始する方針を示した。

イスラエル軍は、この日3人の兵士が死亡したと発表。同軍の死者は32人となった。

戦闘激化を受け、米連邦航空局(FAA)は2日連続で、航空各社に対し、イスラエルの主要都市テルアビブへの離着陸を禁止すると通達している。[ガザ/エルサレム 23日 ロイター]
