［１７日 ロイター］ - ビートルズのメンバーだったジョージ・ハリスンが使用したエレクトリックギターが１７日、米ニューヨークでオークションに掛けられ、予想を上回る６５万７０００ドル（約６７００万円）で落札された。
競売元のジュリアンズ・オークションによると、このギターは白と黒のリッケンバッカー。ビートルズが１９６３年に英テレビ番組に出演した際に使用されたほか、ヒット曲「抱きしめたい」などのレコーディングでも使われたという。
予想落札価格は４０万─６０万ドルだった。
そのほか、ジョン・レノンとオノ・ヨーコの署名が入った手書きのプラカードや、ポール・マッカートニーが１９６０年代半ばにレンタルしたベースも競売に掛けられ、それぞれ、１８万７０００ドル、１２万５０００ドルで落札された。
