金魚の産地として知られる愛知県弥富市に、黄金色のからだとウサギのような赤い目を持つ金魚がお目見えした。名前は「アルビノ琉金（りゅうきん）」。愛知県水産試験場弥富指導所が１９８８年、メラニン色素が欠落した「アルビノ」の金魚を入手したのがきっかけで開発に着手。約２０年間、品種改良を繰り返し、このほど出荷にこぎつけた。国内ではまだ珍しい赤目の金魚に戸惑いを見せる業者もいたが、目にした一般愛好家らの評判は上々。関係者は「金魚市場の活性化につながれば」と期待している。 \n\n撮影日： 2007/09/13 (credit:時事通信社)
「入れ墨」熱帯魚—中国・成都 (15 of15)
四川省成都で販売されている「入れ墨」熱帯魚。花や虹といった絵柄のほか、商売繁盛を祈念する文字など多種多様な漢字が彫られている。黄色の魚４匹には右上から左回りに「生意興隆」（商売繁盛の意味）と彫ってある。２００５年に登場したが、ブームになったのはここ１、２年。「斬新」と評価する人がいる一方、魚を傷つける行為に「残酷だ」との批判も出ている。最低でも２５元（約３５０円）以上で販売され、入れ墨なしの場合の１０元に比べると割高な価格設定。めでたい文字を並べた４匹セットも用意され、例えば「福禄寿喜」は１２０元という（中国・成都） \n\n撮影日： 2009/08/13
