5月27日午後0時40分ごろ、羽田空港からソウルのキンポ（金浦）空港に向かうため離陸中の大韓航空機の左エンジンから煙が上がり、乗客が緊急避難する事故があった。目撃者がTwitter上に動画などをアップロードしている。毎日新聞などが報じた。
NHKによると乗客乗員３００人余りは全員脱出し、今のところ、けが人はいないという。

It was leg 1 of a pretty long 4 leg trip. Flying from DFW to SFO was a pretty bumpy ride that day. As we were nearing SFO above the clouds towards the end of the day, the sun cast a perfect warm glow over the wing, engine and sky. This was the perfect moment where everything just seemed to burst into light. Shot and processed on an iPhone 4S.
