国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)を巡る汚職事件について、サッカーの元アルゼンチン代表のマラドーナ氏は5月28日、自身のFacebookにFIFAのブラッター会長の写真を載せ、英語やスペイン語、イタリア後の3カ国語で「泥棒」と述べ、痛烈に批判した。

国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)を巡る汚職事件について、サッカーの元アルゼンチン代表のマラドーナ氏は5月27日、自身のFacebookにFIFAのブラッター会長の写真を載せ、英語やスペイン語、イタリア後の3カ国語で「泥棒」と述べ、痛烈に批判した

28日午前8時現在、この投稿には10万件を超える「いいね!」がついている。

Goal.comによると、マラドーナ氏は事件を受けて、アルゼンチンのラジオに出演。「私は周りにクレイジーだと言われ続けてきた。だが今日、FBI(連邦捜査局)が真実を明らかにしてくれた」と、FIFAの腐敗に関する自身の指摘が裏付けられたことを喜んだという。

また同番組では、29日に行われる予定のFIFAの会長選挙について、「今のサッカー界には透明性がない。人々をだまし、会長を再選するためのショーを見せられるのはもうたくさんだ。選挙の結果を注視したい」と述べた
