杉浦太陽さんが目撃したメガマウス　連休後半に公開解剖

俳優の杉浦太陽さんが4月14日、NHKの番組「キッチンが走る！」のロケ中に幻の深海ザメ「メガマウス」を目撃したことをブログで報告した。メガマウスは水深200メートルに生息。巨大な口でプランクトンを食べることで知られている。

俳優の杉浦太陽さんが4月14日、NHKの番組「キッチンが走る！」のロケ中に幻の深海ザメ「メガマウス」を目撃したことをブログで報告した。メガマウスは水深200メートルに生息。巨大な口でプランクトンを食べることで知られている。杉浦さんは以下のように興奮を伝えていた。

地元の漁師さんも、初めて見るらしい！どこかの研究施設にいくらしいけど、まさかの生で見られるとはスゴイタイミングに遭遇したなぁ。

静岡新聞によると、このメガマウスが水揚げされたのは静岡市清水区の由比漁港。東海大学の調査で体長4.4メートルの雌と判明したという。

１４日午前６時ごろ、静岡市清水区の倉沢沖で、由比漁港所属の第１１光洋丸の定置網に大きな口が特徴の深海性サメ「メガマウス」がかかり、由比漁港に水揚げされた。東海大海洋学部（同区）の調査で、体長約４・４メートルの雌と分かった。記録が残っている捕獲例としては今回が世界で５７個体目、県内では６個体目。

東海大学では5月の大型連休の後半に、静岡市内の海洋科学博物館で公開の解剖調査を行う予定だ。メガマウスは滅多に発見されないため貴重な発見例だが、2014年に入ってからは、リュウグウノツカイやダイオウイカなど深海生物が日本近海で続々と発見されて話題を呼んでいる。
