韓国保健福祉省は6月15日、中東呼吸器症候群（MERS）の感染者に接触した可能性があるとして、日本人も自宅隔離措置になっていることを明らかにした。時事ドットコムなどが報じた。
NHKによると、保健福祉省がソウル市内で外国メディアを対象に開いた記者会見の中で、「MERS感染者と接触した可能性がある」として隔離した人たちの中に、日本人を含む外国人が20人から30人程度いることを明らかにしたという。日本人の人数は不明。
ソウルの日本大使館は「韓国政府から情報が寄せられており内容を確認中だ。ただ、感染が確認されたり、感染が疑われたりして隔離の対象となっているわけではないようだ」とコメントしているという。
産経ニュースによると、韓国でのMERS感染者は15日午前までに死者16人を含む計150人となった。
