中米パナマの独裁的指導者だったノリエガ元将軍（80）が7月15日、人気ゲームの中で殺人者や誘拐犯として描写されたとして、アメリカ・カリフォルニア州のゲーム会社に損害賠償などを求める訴訟をロサンゼルスの地裁に起こした。ロイター通信などの報道として、47NEWSなどが伝えた。
ゲームはアクティビジョン・ブリザード社の「コール・オブ・デューティ・ブラック・オプス2」で、冷戦やサイバーテロなどを扱う戦争ゲーム。日本を含め世界で人気がある。
訴えでは、ゲーム会社が「（ゲームの）リアリズムを高め、売り上げを伸ばすために」許可なく自分の名前やイメージを使用したと主張した。

ノリエガ元将軍は1983年からパナマ国防軍司令官を務めていたが、1989年、アメリカ軍によるパナマ侵攻で失脚。翌1990年、アメリカの司法当局に麻薬取引などの罪で逮捕され、禁錮刑を受けた。現在は人道に反する罪などでパナマで20年の服役中。
