スマホで捉えた北朝鮮 取材規制の党大会で海外メディアは...【動画】

年々発達するソーシャルメディアやスマートフォンの技術を使い、現地の様子を伝えようと、記者たちは悪戦苦闘した。

5月6日から9日まで北朝鮮で開かれた朝鮮労働党大会には、約120人の海外メディアが取材を許可され、北朝鮮に滞在した。

北朝鮮は厳格な取材規制で知られる。単独の自由行動は原則的に許可されず、取材には北朝鮮の当局者が常に同行する。

それでも年々発達するソーシャルメディアやスマートフォンの技術を使い、規制の隙間をぬって現地の様子を伝えようと、記者たちは悪戦苦闘した。

アメリカのワシントン・ポスト紙の東京特派員アンナ・フィフィールド氏は、滞在中に2回、Facebookのライブ動画機能を使って中継した。宿泊している平壌のホテルの部屋から夜景を写し、帰国の日にはバスの中から平壌市街の様子を写している。

TwitterでもPeriscopeを使って中継した。北朝鮮当局が用意したプレスセンターは回線速度も速く快適だったが、街中では「電波の状況が非常に悪くて、Periscopeの中継が難しかった」とも述べていた

シンガポールのテレビ局「Channel NewsAsia」の記者は、党大会最終日の取材を許され、金正恩氏や、拍手する参加者の映像をアップしている。党大会を一人立って取材する記者に、北朝鮮の当局者が怪訝な表情で近寄る様子も写っている。

一方で、取材には依然、多くの制限が課せられたようだ。取材チームが国外追放処分を受けたイギリスの公共放送BBCは、記者が金日成総合大学の学生に「核を持つことについてどう思うか」と尋ね、学生の回答を受けて追加質問しようとしたところ、横に立っていた北朝鮮当局者に遮られ、取材が中断する場面を放送している。

また、大学構内にある故・金日成主席の銅像を正面から撮影したことを巡って「不敬だ」と当局者からとがめられたことを、記者は映像内で明らかにしている。指導者の銅像の撮影方法に条件をつけられたとする証言は数多くあり、これが国外追放の原因の一つになった可能性もある。
