北朝鮮のおしゃれな名所「カルマ新国際空港」に行ってみた(画像)

おいおい、ここが本当に北朝鮮だって?

北朝鮮に行く機会はなかなかないが、もし訪れたとして、最初に目にするであろう光景の一つが、新しくできたおしゃれな新空港「カルマ新国際空港」だ。

この空港の税関を最初に通過した観光客の1人、シンガポールの写真家 アラム・パン氏は、北朝鮮の生活を写真に収めるプロジェクト「DPRK360」に取り組むため、特別観光団の一員として到着した。

自身のウェブサイトでパン氏は、DPRK 360の目的について「北朝鮮を理解し、この国の謎を解き明かすことだ」と述べている。

新空港は北朝鮮の東海岸の都市ウォンサンの沿岸にある。11月に地方路線を受け入れ、その後すぐ国際線も運行する計画だ。1日当たりに予想される乗客数はわずか2000人。ニューヨークのジョン・F・ケネディ国際空港の2014年の乗客数は、1日当たり約14万6000人だったので、比較すると利用客の少なさがよくわかる。

しかしパン氏は、他の小規模な空港に比べてカルマ新国際空港がとても現代的であることに感銘を受けたと話す。「感動しました。とても良く造られた空港です。見ていただければわかります」
