韓国軍、竹島で防衛訓練を実施 日本政府が抗議

韓国軍は11月24日、島根県・竹島(韓国名・独島)の周辺の海上で、「外部勢力」による奇襲上陸を阻止する防衛訓練を実施した。

韓国軍は11月24日、島根県・竹島(韓国名・独島)の周辺の海上で、「外部勢力」による奇襲上陸を阻止する防衛訓練を実施した。韓国国防省はこの訓練を年に1、2回行う定期的な訓練としており、駆逐艦や護衛艦などの艦艇も参加したという。時事ドットコムなどが報じた。

軍関係者によると、24日午前、艦艇の移動など準備作業を開始し、同日午後に本格的な訓練を実施した。当初は空軍の参加や海兵隊員による上陸訓練も計画されていたが、海軍だけで行った。気象条件の悪化を理由に挙げているが、日本を過度に刺激すべきでないとの考慮が働いた可能性もある。

韓国国防省の副報道官は24日の記者会見で「韓国の固有の領土である独島を外部勢力から守るための定例的な訓練だ」と説明。日本政府は同日、韓国政府に対して、「日本の領有権の立場に照らして、こうした訓練は受け入れられず、極めて遺憾だ」と抗議した

韓国軍は、2013年10月に「民間人が島に上陸した」という想定で竹島での軍事訓練を行い、海軍特殊部隊による上陸訓練も実施した。2014年6月には、日本政府が中止を求める中、竹島周辺の海域で射撃訓練を行っている
