高速鉄道「TGV」が脱線する事故があり、少なくとも10人が死亡、11人が重傷を負った。

フランス東部のストラスブール近郊で11月14日、高速鉄道「TGV」が脱線する事故があり、BBCは、少なくとも10人が死亡、11人が重傷を負ったと伝えた。

BBCによると、事故はドイツ国境に近いエックヴェルスハイムで起きた。2016年に開業予定の、パリとストラスブールを結ぶ新路線の試運転中で、列車には49人の技術者が乗っていたが、脱線で車両に火災が起き、運河に突っ込んだという。

当局者によると、原因は「スピードの出し過ぎ」だが、さらに詳しい原因を調べている。13日にパリで起きた同時多発テロとの関連は、現時点では不明。運河に転落した車両の引き揚げ作業は夜も続いた。

朝日新聞デジタルは、1981年の開業以来最悪の事故と伝えている。
