CGクリエーターの宮内貴広さんと岡田拓也さんが製作した短編アニメ『東京コスモ』が、海外で話題だ。独身女性の日常生活の一コマを、ピクサーのようなCGで表現。北米最大級のアニメ紹介サイト・アニメニュースネットワークが「抜群のクオリティ」と紹介したほか、海外ソーシャルメディア関連の最先端情報を発信する「Mashable」や、イタリアのギークサイト「Orgoglio Nerd」などが、「まるでピクサー」などと報じている。
岡田氏らはこのアニメーションの制作課程をニコニコ動画に投稿。実写画像やビデオコンテがCGになる様子を紹介している。
なお、同作品は、TBSが主催する短編アニメーションコンテスト「DigiCon 6 ASIA」にノミネートされている。DigiCon 6は観客が優秀作品を選ぶコンテストで、11月6日まで投票を受け付けている。
