東芝、最大7000人のリストラ検討 テレビやPCの開発拠点縮小へ

不正会計問題を受けて経営再建を進めている東芝が、冷蔵庫やテレビなど赤字が続く家電部門を中心に、海外工場を含め数千人規模の人員削減する方針を固めた。

不正会計問題を受けて経営再建を進めている東芝が、冷蔵庫やテレビなど赤字が続く家電部門を中心に、海外工場を含め数千人規模の人員削減する方針を固めた。テレビやパソコンの開発拠点がある青梅事業所(東京都青梅市)を縮小し、早期退職の募集や他部門への移籍などを行うなどして抜本的なリストラに踏み切る。朝日新聞デジタルなどが12月15日に報じた。

家電を中心とした「ライフスタイル事業」の従業員は約2万4千人で、青梅事業所にはうち2千数百人がいる。テレビやパソコンの開発のほか、家電子会社が本社を置いている。

東芝はすでに、海外向けテレビの開発・販売から撤退する方針を示しており、青梅事業所の縮小は避けられないと判断した。国内の家電関連では、愛知県瀬戸市に白物家電の開発拠点が、新潟県加茂市には炊飯器などの工場があり、それぞれ対応を検討している。

東芝はこの人為削減について21日にも発表する。

人員削減の規模について、15日付の日本経済新聞朝刊は「最大7000人程度」と報じている。

東芝の家電部門は、2015年3月期に1097億円の営業赤字を計上。同社は、家電部門の赤字体質が不正会計問題の理由の一つになったとして、構造改革を進める方針を示している。
